Reiki, (pronounced ray-key), is an ancient Japanese hands on healing therapy that uses subtle energies to restore harmony and balance to the human body. Originally used in Tibet, Reiki was rediscovered by Dr. Mikao Usui, a respected healer in the early 1900’s Japan. It was known to Ancient Egypt more than 5,000 years ago. Chinese call it Ch’i, Christians know it as the Holy Spirit, and in India it is known as Prana.

What Reiki Does:  Reiki healing therapy can significantly reduce the symptoms of many dis-eases and disorders that are associated with a stressful lifestyle. Reiki energy can work on the mental thoughts, beliefs and emotional patterns that block the natural flow of energy.  The benefits of a Reiki treatment can include: stress reduction, deep relaxation, pain relief, improved mental clarity, enhanced creativity and greater well being.

What to Expect:  A brief reading with the use of oracle cards is offered with intentions for your highest good.  You then relax, fully clothed, on a massage table, or you can be seated. With light hand placements along major energy centers on the body, the healing practitioner channels the Reiki energy through the hands onto you or above you. A treatment can last an hour or longer depending on the treatment required. There is no pressure on the body making it ideal for treating all ages and conditions. The energy flows naturally wherever it is required, and it can normally be felt as a warm sensation or tingling in the body.
